One of my favorite brand identity projects, Grace Bomb started out as a fun play on words created by the Teaching Pastor of Bay Area Community Church at the time, Pat Linnell. Pat ran with the word Grace Bomb, started his own company and published his first book "Grace Bomb: The Surprising Act of Loving Your Neighbors."
Born out of Bay Area Community Church, the creative team and myself worked with Pat on creating a face for this term he kept throwing around, Grace Bomb. Under direction from Creative Director at the time Josh Shirlen and the Lead Designer at the time Josh Burgin, I was tasked with creating a logo that was edgy and counter-cultural. Through our short time at the wheel, we were able to create a bunch of fun branding assets, including a portable "Temporary Tattoo Parlor" for a Nitro Circus event. Pat eventually was able to go full time with Grace Bomb, and has been rockin' it ever since.
